"I was skeptical that this bottle would have held up at all. Bought at auction in 2003 or so, cellared since. Shared with friends in November 2017. Dark amber color, hints of oxidation. Viscous like syrup when poured. But we were all struck by how fresh and lively it was. Yes it was sweet of course, but had bright fruit, and zingy acidity and of course that amazing nose of noble rot. Exceptional surprise! They say this wine lasts 100 years. It very well might! 92 points"

"A great example of its type. An aged light sweet wine, with hints of sherry and ripe apples, apricots and vanilla galore, great acidity and a medium finish. Everything one could expect from this wine, produced during this period. Not a blockbuster dessert wine, not a complexity showstopper, but complete and correct. Perfect with semolina cake and fresh berries. The kind of wine little old babushkas would drink and gossip over. 90 points"
