"Unspeakable seductive pear compote on the nose, caramel, floral, soft, flattering, causing pre-Christmas atmosphere. Very direct approach on the palate, with intense fruit but also intensive acids. Complex impressions: overripe apricots, quinces, roasted flavours, coffee, pharmaceutic, tea, plum jam. All these impressions are very intense, deep, complex, well-balanced. Very nice and all what I have stated here came as it must be, thanks to blind tasting, without having known the name of the Great Szepsy behind the wine. The Szepsy-Aszú was already one made in modern style."

"This wine has a secret, Szepsy said ... he has a little Muscatel too, and therefore is quite spicy and fragrant. In the wine we can detect notes of ripe apricots. Unique balance between sweetness and acidity. This wine offers unlimited opportunities for the gastronomy!"

"Amazingly savoury quality for a sweet wine. Deep amber to rust in colour. A touch of burnt matchstick on the nose at first then classic Tokaj dill notes. Excellent balance of almost savoury / umami notes with the backdrop of sweetness and zinging acidity. Drinking beautifully now but surely is brimming with enough power and vibrance to go a lot further if you are lucky enough to still have a bottle of this in your cellar. 5.0 Stars"
