"This wine is showing youth still and some evolution, at the same time in terms of flavour. The texture is still very fresh and elegant. The sugar is still dominant with lots of caramel, mocca and smoky character in the wine. The wine is perfectly poised, balanced, and adorned with a pleasant long finish. Easily demonstrates potential another 20 years of aging!"
Pierre-Marie Pattieu (HK IWSC Judge)

KINCSEM
"My Treasure"
Situated between Tolcsva and Bodrogolaszi, this vineyard gained its reputation after the phylloxera. Before, in older publications, it was just implicit alluded in mention of Zsadány-hegy. Kossuth said in 1903, that Kincsem was "amongst the foremost vineyards" of Hegyalja, and related that after phylloxera it had been strikingly replanted by the owner Baron Friedrich Waldbott following phylloxera that a banker offered a huge sum for the vineyard. Kincsem is named after the invincible Hungarian racehorse, that still today helds the unbeaten record of having won 55 races for 55 starts in the 1870's and 1880's."
