"Dried apricot and candied violet in the nose. Fatter in the mouth, more glyceral than the 5 puttonyos, yet also juicier. Hints of butterscotch and vanilla emerge in the finish."
Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, Sep/Oct 1999
"Coffee-colored, with a green rim, this unique dessert wine shows complex aromas of minerals, orange marmalade and dried apricot. Intensely flavored, with the orange and apricot theme prevailing, yet beautifully integrated with the vibrant acidity. A contradiction of intense sweetness and light weight. 98 points"
Wine Spectator, 2004
"Deep burnished copper in color, medium to full-bodied honeyed wine with generous botrytis flavors and aromas, matched beautifully by a range of fruits including citrus, raisins, passion fruit and apricots. A long flowery and mineral finish. Drink now- 2050, perhaps longer. Score 95"

"Deep golden color, this thick, viscous tokaji is crammed with honey, pineapple and apricot aromas. The acidity is out of this world, balancing the huge residual sugar. This wine coats the entire mouth with pleasure. The finish lasts forever. One of the best desert wines I've ever had. 97 points"

"Outstanding dessert wine ... a wine that you will want to sip all day long. Complex, perfectly balanced, subtle but richly flavored. Loads of creamy pure apricot and honey/maple ... but it is the perfect sugar/acid balance and soft mouth-coating texture that makes this wine irresistible. Recommend buy! 95 points"

"Deep dark amber brown with a powerful nose of apricot, summer melons, and orange marmelaide and dark molasses. Obviously sweet as all get out, but the balance is still there and the alchohol almost unnoticable. The depth of flavors not just fruits but floral, nuts and berries, honey. It probably smell like a basket of gathered edibles in the hieght of summer. Everyone was floored by how good this was. Worth seeking out. 95 points."

"Orange with brown hue. Rich, intense, some caramel, raisins, almonds, dark and deep nose. Fresh acidity, fruity, sweet, playful, detailed, intense and long. 94 points"

... is situated on the southern side of a Perlite-hillock, with open faces to west and east, and was once mentioned among the eight most wellknown „dülös“ of Hegyalja. Disznókö means „Pig Rock“ and refers to a large stone that was thought to resemble a wild boar. During the Imperial era, a famous owner of this vineyard was Count Menyhért Lónyay, who was Hungarian Prime Minister from 1867 and K.u.K. Minister of Finance after 1870. Also Archduke Joseph of Austria (1776-1847) owned lots on this tract. Today, this most outstanding vineyard of Mezözombor is exclusively owned by the wellknown Disznókö winery. The old presshouse, called „Sarga Borház“, contains a restaurant today, and the winery's visitors centre.
